Euro 2012 was the biggest sport event in the history of Poland. Many visiting fans discovered the changing character of the former communist country for the first time. Poland is a country in a full expansion mode, catching up with its western neighbours.
As is the case of many countries hosting a big sporting event, Polish road to Euro 2012 was characterised by large infrastructure projects, ranging from a roads improvement to construction of new football stadiums.
Euro 2012 could also be seen as a catalyst of a positive energy and positive emotions, an accelerator of changes in Poland.
